Our Vision for Ministry
Our vision for ministry can be summed up in two phrases: serving others and sharing the joy of Christian love. Geneva’s motto, “The little church with the big heart”, signifies how we care for each other and value the healing power of prayer and pastoral care. We want everyone to feel included through a personal relationship with God and each other.
Geneva serves the community as the hands and feet of Jesus by partnering with several local and regional organizations. We support these initiatives with our time, talents, and financial giving. Our Christian love weaves a web of care within our church family and throughout the community. We are committed to open and inclusive Bible study and offer multiple education opportunities for spiritual growth. We consider caring for God’s good creation an expression of our faith and are proud to have earned the designation of a Presbyterian Earth Care Congregation.
Geneva hosts, supports, and nurtures highly talented musicians who glorify God through our worship services. Our commitment to music ministries is demonstrated through our Sanctuary Choir and English Handbell Choir, which have participants from within and beyond our congregation.
At our core is a special emphasis on unity within diversity — we celebrate that God has made each person unique, yet we are mindful that, as in Galatians 3:28, we are all one in Christ Jesus.
